Preparation Strategy and Time Table

The first job is paperwork, not study. Applications reach the department only after the parent office has certified them, so the early weeks should go to collecting documents. The remaining time can be used to brush up on the duties of the post. The plan below fits within the 60-day window.

Period Focus Action
Week 1 Eligibility check Confirm cadre, level, diploma and three-year field experience; note your age against the 56-year limit
Weeks 1-2 Records Request APARs for five years up to 2024-25, vigilance and integrity certificates, and the penalty certificate
Weeks 2-3 Proforma Fill the CV proforma in block letters, attach the photo, and get employer countersignature
Weeks 3-4 Forwarding Submit through proper channel; keep photocopies of everything
Weeks 4-6 Skill revision Practise AutoCAD drawing, checking of structural and survey drawings, and rate analysis
Weeks 6-8 Interview readiness Prepare a short account of your work, deputation history and CWC-related duties
Send the application early. Delays in obtaining certificates are the most common reason an otherwise eligible file misses the deadline.
